This British poster was the first for a Bond film, and is therefore a highly prized collectors item.

Dr. No was released in 1962 and was the first ever James Bond film. It was directed by Terence Young and stars Sean Connery and Ursula Andress. This hugely popular film series has gone onto make a total of twenty-six films to-date (twenty-five by Eon Productions). This year (2022), Dr. No celebrates its 60th anniversary.

James Bond burst onto the big screen for the first time with this great adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel, bringing with him all of the signature elements that made the exploits of the debonair 007 a smash hit series: the exotic locales, the license to kill, the evil SPECTRE organisation, ubiquitous martinis, "Bond" women, and fast cars. Sean Connery immortalises the spy's suave style, Joseph Wiseman's evil mastermind Dr. No is a great start to the series' slew of formidable villains, and the bikini-clad Ursula Andress sets the bar high for any of the Bond girls to follow. By far one of the best posters for Bond's inaugural feature, and superior to its American counterpart, artist Mitchell Hooks and designer David Chasman created an excellent image and trend setting style in this country-of-origin quad.
