Winnie The Pooh And The Honey Tree (1966)
Original Walt Disney b&w photo still #17-A-56C.
After being stuck in Rabbit’s front door for days because he ate too much honey, Pooh has finally been "popped" out. This shot shows Christopher Robin leading a celebratory parade to cheer for Pooh’s freedom. With a drum in hand and Owl, Kanga, and a (typically) gloomy Eeyore following behind, it’s a perfect picture of how the whole neighbourhood comes together for their "silly old bear."
This was the very first time Disney brought A.A. Milne’s beloved "silly old bear" to the screen. It introduced a unique, storybook art style where the characters actually interact with the text and page lines of the book. It’s the film that launched Pooh into global superstardom and established the gentle, cozy vibe that defined childhood for generations.
