An exceptionally rare original Italian quattro foglio for Cenerentola a Parigi (Funny Face, 1957), created for use in Italian cinemas nearly 70 years ago. This magnificent poster was designed by the celebrated Italian illustrator Ercole Brini, one of the great masters of Italian poster art. Brini's refined painterly style and delicate use of watercolours give Audrey Hepburn an ethereal, regal presence, making this one of the finest Hepburn posters ever created!
Based on the Gershwin musical and co-starring Fred Astaire, Funny Face was a major success, showcasing Hepburn’s dance skills and cementing her as a global fashion icon. In post-war Italy, the film’s glamour, Parisian style, and timeless music struck a powerful chord.
Among the most desirable of all Hepburn posters, this large-format Brini artwork is a true centrepiece for serious collectors.
Prior to conservation linen-backing, this poster was in superb folded-as-issued condition.
