Yellow Submarine (1968)

Colourful artwork by Heinz Edelmann on this rare & beautiful country-of-origin UK Quad issued by the studio when the film was released and meant for theatrical display.

Heinz Edelmann designed three different posters on this title. There was a first advance, with limited artwork, a second advance, with added artwork to the first advance, and then this final piece with the full artwork and credits.

This animated musical fantasy was inspired by the song Yellow Submarine by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The animation features songs by The Beatles. The Beatles appear as animated characters in the film, with their voices being done by other actors, until the final scene, when their real voices are used.
