Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Original One Sheet (27 X 40 Inches)
£450.00
Fifteen years after Return of the Jedi, the anticipation for a new Star Wars film was so intense that in 1998 fans bought tickets for Meet Joe Black simply to watch the Phantom Menace teaser trailer, and some walked out once it had played. Few films have ever been given a sneak preview with that kind of devotion.
This teaser poster became famous at once, because it tells the whole tragic arc of Anakin Skywalker's story in a single shadow. It is double-sided, as cinemas required for their lightboxes, and unfolded.
