Moonraker (1979)
Original British Quad (30 X 40 Inches)
£875.00
Moonraker gave Bernard Lee his last turn as M. He had held the office since Dr. No in 1962, and he died in 1981 before his next appearance could be filmed, so the character was simply written out of the following adventure. It was a fitting send-off: the film was the highest-grossing Bond for the next 16 years, a record only GoldenEye would beat, and it earned the series an Oscar nomination for its effects.
This is the country-of-origin British Quad from the first release, with artwork by Dan Goozee. Folded as issued, as Quads were sent out to cinemas, it is the format that shows this design at its widest and most theatrical.
