Goldfinger (1964)
Original One Sheet (27 X 41 Inches)
£2,375.00
Gert Fröbe, who gave Auric Goldfinger such weight and menace, spoke very little English. His lines were dubbed by the actor Michael Collins, and few in the audience ever knew. The film recouped its budget within weeks, and Shirley Bassey's title song turned the Bond theme into an event in its own right.
Directed by Guy Hamilton, Goldfinger is where the Bond formula was fixed for good, with the gadgets, the Aston Martin and the villain of grand ambition all in place. This One Sheet, linen-backed, belongs to the film that made 007 a worldwide phenomenon.
