2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

An original 1968 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Black and White Photo Still #277, unframed.

Two astronauts at the controls of the lunar shuttle as it skims across the surface of the Moon.

Stanley Kubrick worked with NASA advisers and leading engineers to make every detail plausible, and the cockpit's flat screens were hand-animated sequences projected from behind. Made a year before the real Moon landing, the film still looks startlingly modern.
