Dr. No (1962)
Original One Panel (47 X 63 Inches)
£5,650.00
Ian Fleming was not impressed when the producers chose a rough-edged Scottish actor as his hero, reportedly dismissing Sean Connery as an overgrown stunt man. Director Terence Young took Connery to his own tailor and taught him how to wear a suit, and the transformation won Fleming over so completely that he gave the Bond of the novels Scottish ancestry.
This French Grande carries the artwork of Boris Grinsson, one of the great names of French cinema posters, in a design unique to the French campaign. At 47 x 63 inches, it gives Connery's first Bond the kind of presence that made him a household name.
