Christopher Walken was the first Academy Award winner to play a main Bond villain, and his Max Zorin, a Silicon Valley industrialist with a cold smile, is one of the most enjoyable of the 1980s. David Bowie and Sting had both been approached for the part. Grace Jones, Tanya Roberts and Patrick Macnee completed a memorable cast for Roger Moore's final assignment.
The artwork is by Dan Goozee, and this British Quad is an unfolded example, a genuine rarity for the format at a time when most copies were folded for the cinemas. It closes the Moore era in style.
