Christopher Lloyd's Doc Brown clings to the Hill Valley clock tower with time running out, the most famous image in the film.
It is a tribute to Harold Lloyd dangling from a clock in Safety Last! (1923), no relation to Christopher. The square stands on the Universal backlot, where its courthouse had already appeared in To Kill a Mockingbird.
