It stands as a pristine artifact from the absolute height of global "Batmania."

While the newly introduced Batcopter looked spectacular on screen, its production reality was notoriously treacherous. Built on a leased Bell 47G3B-1 helicopter, the vehicle underwent heavily stylised modifications. The massive canvas-covered tubular bat-wings attached to the frame severely compromised the aircraft's aerodynamics, terrifyingly slashing its engine power by nearly fifty percent. In a brilliant twist of Hollywood recycling, this exact same leased helicopter was later stripped of its wings, repainted olive drab, and immortalized as an emergency medivac vehicle in the iconic opening credits of the television series MAS*H.
