A gloriously over-the-top entry in the Blaxploitation canon, Black Shampoo was released in 1976 as a wild genre mash-up of sexploitation, action, and revenge thriller — and this original U.S. One Sheet captures all of its outrageous energy.

Directed by Greydon Clark and starring John Daniels as Mr. Jonathan — a Beverly Hills hairstylist with attitude, abs, and a serious score to settle — the poster explodes with pulp illustration: disco-era fashion, fearless women, and a gun-toting hero front and center. A parody of Shampoo (1975), this film took things in a radically different (and far grittier) direction.
