King Dick (1973)
Extremely rare original U.K. cinema quad poster for the notorious cartoon sex movie 'King Dick'. This was an Italian made animated adult comedy film about the erotic adventures of a well-endowed Dwarf called, ironically, Little Dick, and an ugly witch, called somewhat less ironically, Nymphomania. The Witch had to achieve 69 orgasms before she could become beautiful again, and amorously pursued the Dwarf unto this end.
The film's original title in Italian was 'Il Nano e la Strega' which translates into English as 'The Dwarf and the Witch'.
The film was first shown in the UK in the late 1970s. It had a very limited cinema release and the UK quad posters are extremely rare.
The bold, bright, fun and colourful artwork on the poster is pure 1970's in its animation style, and it achieves the fine balance of being just comically bawdy enough to entertain without becoming obscene. This art layout was unique to the UK quad.
