Performance (1970)
Original 1970 Warner Bros. black and white theatrical still, #PER-610.
Original Warner Bros. B&W Still #PER-610 – Mick Jagger
A superb original 1970 Warner Bros. publicity still featuring Mick Jagger as Turner, the mysterious and reclusive rock star at the centre of Performance. This striking close-up is an especially strong image of Jagger, who made his feature-film acting debut in the film.
Directed by Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg, Performance brought together the London criminal underworld and the counterculture of the late 1960s in a radical mix of crime, music and psychedelia. Initially controversial and delayed by Warner Bros., its reputation grew enormously and it is now regarded as an influential British cult classic. A particularly desirable original still for Mick Jagger, Rolling Stones and 1960s counterculture collectors.
