R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), pressed into service as a drinks waiter aboard Jabba the Hutt's sail barge.

Kenny Baker, from Birmingham, was working in a comedy double act when Star Wars came calling, and he nearly turned the part down rather than leave his partner. He stayed inside R2-D2 for more than thirty years.
