The Jungle Book (1975r)
This original 1975 re-release UK quad is widely regarded as the finest poster artwork ever produced for The Jungle Book (film originally came out in 1967). Issued for the film’s hugely successful re-release, it celebrates Walt Disney’s final personally supervised animated feature with exuberant, full-colour artwork showing Baloo, King Louie, Bagheera, Mowgli and the entire jungle cast dancing in pure Technicolor joy. The design perfectly captures the warmth, humour and musical spirit that made the film a timeless classic.
The Jungle Book remains one of Disney’s most celebrated and enduring classics. Its infectious soundtrack, featuring “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na Be Like You,” helped define the studio’s golden age of animation. The film’s warmth, humor, and hand-drawn artistry made it an instant family favorite, and it holds particular cultural weight as the last animated feature Walt Disney personally oversaw before his death in 1966.
This ultra-charming artwork was ONLY used for the 1975 re-release of the film. Also, an identical poster achieved £16,250 at Auction in 2019, admittedly, very high!
