Thunderball (1965)

The story behind Thunderball was almost as tangled as the plot. Ian Fleming developed the idea with producer Kevin McClory and writer Jack Whittingham, then turned it into a novel without crediting them. A court case followed, McClory won the film rights, and Broccoli and Saltzman brought him on as producer so that the story could join the series.

Illustrated by Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy, two of the great names of Bond poster art, this US One Sheet is one of the most dynamic designs from the golden age of the series. It is folded as issued, as American posters of the 1960s were sent out to cinemas.
