Thunderball / Opération Tonnerre (1965)
Original French Grande (47 X 63 Inches)
£3,650.00
A large part of Thunderball takes place beneath the waves, and to shoot it the producers hired Ricou Browning, the man who had played the Creature from the Black Lagoon. His underwater battle off the Bahamas was unlike anything seen before, and the film went home with the Academy Award for visual effects.
French audiences knew it as Opération Tonnerre. This first-release French Grande features the art of Robert McGinnis, and the linen backing shows off a design that was always going to look its best at 47 x 63 inches.
