Revenge Of The Jedi (1982)
The third film in the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi, was famously first announced as Revenge of the Jedi — a title later changed when George Lucas decided that true Jedi do not seek vengeance. Before the change, very few undated advance posters were produced, followed by a second run of dated advance posters released closer to the film’s debut and sold directly to fans.
This is one of those rare dated posters, presented folded-as-issued and in superb condition. Featuring dramatic artwork by Drew Struzan, it depicts the menacing Darth Vader locked in his climactic lightsaber duel with Luke Skywalker. Because the title was changed after these posters were issued, they became instant collector’s items, and remain among the most sought-after pieces for serious Star Wars aficionados.
