Star Wars (1977)

Star Wars was not just a movie, it was a true phenomenon. Raising the bar for all fantasy and science fiction films to follow. Consequently, virtually everything related to the original release of this landmark picture is highly collectible, especially the posters that promoted the film to a generation of fans. Offered here is the FIRST PRINTING (with the 77-21-0 NSS numbering) US one sheet poster with art by Tom Jung. Such was the success of the film, there were four different poster print runs for the A sheet in 1977 to meet demand from cinemas - all are considered to be first release although there are value differences between the runs. The first, and the most collectable, had NSS reference 77/21-0 with later 1977 runs marked 77/21.
