In 2006 one of the black Givenchy dresses Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's sold at Christie's in London for £467,200, many times its estimate. It is still the most copied look the screen has produced, and Blake Edwards's loose adaptation of Truman Capote's novella remains her most popular film.
This was the first film poster commission for Robert McGinnis, a veteran of more than 1,200 paperback covers who went on to Thunderball and Barbarella. It is the piece every Hepburn collector wants first, and a rare one: a linen-backed original US One Sheet of the image that started it all.
