Godfather Part II, The (1974)

An original 1975 British Quad, folded as issued.

In April 1975, The Godfather Part II made history as the first sequel ever to win Best Picture, collecting six Academy Awards in total, including Best Supporting Actor for Robert De Niro and Best Director for Francis Ford Coppola.

British distributors moved quickly to cash in, and this Quad was printed after the ceremony with the awards trumpeted in a bold banner across the top. Post-Oscar Quads like this were made for the film's continued run in UK cinemas and, like all Quads, were usually discarded afterwards.

A wonderful piece of film history, capturing the moment the sequel joined its predecessor among cinema's greats, and a great-value original from the trilogy.
