Graduate, The (1967)
Dustin Hoffman is Benjamin Braddock, a recent college graduate, who finds himself trapped in an affair with Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), the wife of his father's business partner, but loses his heart to her young daughter, Elaine (Katharine Ross). Hoffman's breakout role, this was one of the most popular and influential movies of the late 1960s, and won a Best Director Oscar for Mike Nichols.
