This poster is a massive, vibrant centerpiece of 1960s pop-art and a holy grail for Batman collectors. The bold yellow background and dynamic layout perfectly capture the camp, high-energy spirit of the film, which was produced at the height of the show's popularity.
The artwork assembles the entire main cast, led by Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin. In a historic first, it unites all four of the "Gallery of Villains" on the big screen: Cesar Romero as The Joker, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin, Frank Gorshin as The Riddler, and Lee Meriwether as The Catwoman.
The US 6-Sheet is one of the rarest and most impressive formats for any vintage film poster. Measuring an enormous 81 x 81 inches, these posters were printed in very small quantities, intended for major lobby or outdoor displays (akin to a small billboard). Due to their size and method of use—often being pasted directly to walls—the vast majority were destroyed after the film's run. To find an original 6-Sheet from this era is a remarkable occurrence.
