The artwork on this 2010's re-release Egyptian One Sheet is extraordinary! A gigantic, sinister Nicholson Joker looming over Gotham, with Keaton’s Batman reduced almost to a spectral silhouette in the background. Visually, it feels darker, stranger and more psychologically intense than the standard US campaign material.
What makes this especially interesting to collectors is that Egyptian posters from this era were often produced in extremely small quantities for individual cinemas or revival-style theatres. In many cases, they were created for highly localised theatrical runs, meaning survival rates are tiny compared with mainstream US or UK release posters.
