Godfather, The (1972) - FRAMED

An original 1972 Paramount Pictures US colour Front-of-House Card, framed with anti-UV glass.

Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, alongside Diane Keaton as Kay Adams, at a New York newsstand during Christmas shopping. Michael grips the paper as he reads the headline: his father has been shot. Kay watches, worried, as his life outside the family begins to slip away.

This is the turning point of the whole film, the instant the reluctant son is pulled back into the Corleone world. Pacino's transformation from outsider to ruthless heir remains one of cinema's great performances, and it starts here, on a card that once hung in a 1972 cinema foyer.
