Godfather, The (1972) - FRAMED

An original 1972 Paramount Pictures US colour Front-of-House Card, framed with anti-UV glass.

Michael (Al Pacino), still in his Marine uniform, faces his older brother Sonny (James Caan), carnation in his lapel, under the trees at Connie's wedding. Sonny is the hot-headed heir; Michael is the outsider who wants nothing to do with the family business.

By the end of the film their places will have reversed completely, which gives this natural, unguarded moment real power. A lovely piece for anyone drawn to the brothers' story, from the film's original 1972 cinema run.
