With a brilliant script by Robert Bolt, a stunning score by Maurice Jarre, and unbelievably beautiful cinematography by Freddie Young, this film is considered to be the greatest adventure-biography ever filmed. It was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won seven - including Best Picture, Best Director for Lean, Best Score for Jarre, and Best Colour Cinematography for Young.
