An original 1962 re-release Paramount Pictures Black and White Publicity Still #10331-21, unframed, with an Everett Collection label on the reverse.
James Stewart as L.B. "Jeff" Jefferies, plaster cast up to the hip and telephoto lens to his eye. Alfred Hitchcock staged the entire film on one vast Paramount set, a full Greenwich Village courtyard of 31 apartments, some of them complete enough to be lived in.
The result is cinema's great study of watching. Hitchcock keeps us in that wheelchair for almost the whole picture, and by the end we are every bit as guilty as Jeff.
