Scarface (1983)

An original 1983 Universal Pictures US Lobby Card #4, unframed.

Tony Montana in full swagger, laughing in a neon-lit booth at the Babylon Club with his associates, drinks on the table and the pink-and-red glow of Miami nightlife all around. Tony is on the way up and convinced the world is his.

The Babylon Club scenes gave Scarface its unmistakable look, the colour palette later borrowed by Miami Vice and countless music videos. Lobby Cards were issued in sets of eight and displayed in cinema foyers to tempt audiences in, then usually discarded at the end of the run. Each card carries the iconic split-design artwork alongside the scene, which makes the Scarface set one of the most displayable of the decade.
