Scarface (1983)

An original 1983 Universal Pictures US Lobby Card #8, unframed.

Tony Montana, shirt bloodied and suit rumpled, stands before a painted sunset of palm trees as Manny (Steven Bauer) watches from the doorway. It's a moment from the film's spiralling final act, as Tony's paranoia turns him against the people closest to him.

The blue suit against the tropical sunset is one of the film's most recognisable images. Lobby Cards were issued in sets of eight and displayed in cinema foyers to tempt audiences in, then usually discarded at the end of the run. Each card carries the iconic split-design artwork alongside the scene, which makes the Scarface set one of the most displayable of the decade.
