Scarface (1983)

An original 1983 Universal Pictures Publicity Still #2154-13, unframed.

Tony (Al Pacino) at his mother's kitchen table, with his mother (Miriam Colon) standing over him and his sister Gina (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) beside her. Tony has come home flush with money; his mother sees exactly where it came from and throws him out.

It's one of the film's most human moments, and the start of Tony's obsessive protectiveness of Gina that will destroy them both. Publicity Stills like this were produced by Universal and sent out to newspapers, magazines and cinemas to promote the film. They were working tools, used and thrown away, so originals with the studio caption and still number are a genuine piece of the film's history.
