Scarface (1983)

An original 1983 Universal Pictures Publicity Still #2154-18, unframed.

The wedding of Tony Montana: Gina (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), the bride Elvira (Michelle Pfeiffer), groom Tony (Al Pacino) in his cream tuxedo, and Manny (Steven Bauer), with the priest at the edge of the frame. Tony has the empire, the house and the woman. On paper, the American Dream is complete.

The film uses this moment as the peak before the fall, which gives it real weight. Publicity Stills like this were produced by Universal and sent out to newspapers, magazines and cinemas to promote the film. They were working tools, used and thrown away, so originals with the studio caption and still number are a genuine piece of the film's history.
