The Great Escape (1963) - FRAMED
Original Photo Still.
A towering landmark of WW2 cinema, The Great Escape stands as one of the most thrilling and iconic adventure films ever produced. Directed by John Sturges and anchored by an legendary ensemble cast featuring Steve McQueen, James Garner, and Richard Attenborough, the film chronicles the meticulous, death-defying planning and execution of a mass breakout from a maximum-security German prisoner-of-war camp.
Capturing the heart-pounding tension of the film, this original vintage still/lobby card—as shown in the provided photograph highlights Steve McQueen in his definitive role as Virgil Hilts, the "Cooler King."
