Thunderball (1965)
Photo Still (8 X 10 Inches)
£650.00
Original b&w promotional still, #T-L-13, for Thunderball.
The back reveals significant provenance, featuring a taped studio caption slip identifying Sean Connery alongside his co-stars Lois Maxwell, Luciana Paluzzi, Martine Beswick, Claudine Auger, and Molly Peters along with archive stamps from the Everett Collection and the Dell Publishing Co. Photo Library, plus various handwritten cataloging marks.
Culturally, the verso of such vintage stills provides invaluable insight into the historical lifecycle of studio press materials. The attached caption slips and publication stamps transform the photograph from a mere piece of marketing into a documented artifact of 20th-century entertainment journalism and cinematic archiving.
