Jungle Book, The (1967)

Front-of-House Card for The Jungle Book.

Mowgli follows the village girl towards the man-village, carrying her water pot as she glances back from the gate. A lovely image from the film’s closing sequence, capturing the moment curiosity and first attraction finally persuade him to leave the jungle.

For all its swinging songs and comic adventures, The Jungle Book ends with a gently observed moment of growing up. This original British cinema lobby card captures that bittersweet conclusion, Mowgli discovering a world beyond Baloo and Bagheera, and choosing to take his first steps into it.
