Winning sits right in peak late’60s cool, blending Hollywood star power with real-deal racing culture. With Paul Newman front and center, plus Joanne Woodward and Robert Wagner, the film helped lock in Newman’s image as both a serious actor and a genuine racing guy, which later turned into his real-life motorsport legacy.
