Breakfast at Tiffany's opens at dawn on an empty Fifth Avenue, with Audrey Hepburn stepping out of a yellow cab, coffee and pastry in hand, to gaze into Tiffany's windows. The black Givenchy dress she wears in that scene became the most copied in fashion, and one of the versions made for the film sold at Christie's in 2006 for £467,200.
This British Quad was produced by the British Film Institute for the film's 50th anniversary re-release in UK cinemas in 2011. It is double-sided, printed on both faces so that it glows when lit from behind in a cinema light box, and has been kept unfolded.
