Love In The Afternoon (1957)

Love in the Afternoon was the first time Billy Wilder wrote with I.A.L. Diamond, the partnership that went on to give the world Some Like It Hot and The Apartment. Critics of the day worried about Gary Cooper, nearly thirty years Audrey Hepburn's senior, as her romantic lead. The film has long since outlived the complaint.

The poster is by Saul Bass, the designer who changed the way Hollywood looked, and it goes for design points over star power. A 1957 One Sheet by Bass with Hepburn's name on it is a rare crossover, as prized by graphic design collectors as by film lovers. Linen-backed.
