Aston Martin needed some persuading before lending the producers a DB5 for Goldfinger. Once audiences had seen its ejector seat and revolving number plates, it became the most famous car in the world. Corgi's model of it was the biggest-selling toy of 1964, and more than sixty years on the DB5 is still the car people picture when they think of Bond.
The artwork for this French Grande is by the celebrated poster artist Jean Mascii, created specifically for the French release. Linen-backed, it is an especially desirable piece of Connery-era history.
