Some Like It Hot (1959)
Front-of-House Card (8 X 10 Inches)
£245.00
An original 1959 United Artists British Black and White Front Of House Card, unframed.
Marilyn Monroe as Sugar Kane on ukulele, with Tony Curtis as Josephine on saxophone and Jack Lemmon as Daphne on double bass, playing with Sweet Sue's all-girl band on the train to Florida.
Monroe won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy for the role, and her "Runnin' Wild" on the train is one of her most joyful moments on screen. In 2000 the American Film Institute named Some Like It Hot the greatest American comedy ever made. All three stars on one card, in the scene that sums up the film.
