The Godfather (1972)
Photo Still (8 X 10 Inches)
£595.00
An original 1972 Paramount Pictures British Black and White Publicity Still, unframed.
The whisper. Marlon Brando's Don Vito Corleone bows his head, rose in his lapel, as Salvatore Corsitto's Bonasera asks for a favour on the day of Connie's wedding.
"I believe in America" are the film's first words, spoken out of the dark. The cat on the Don's lap in this scene was a stray Coppola found at the studio, and its purring nearly drowned out Brando's lines.
