The Godfather (1972)
Photo Still (8 X 10 Inches)
£495.00
An original 1972 Paramount Pictures British Black and White Publicity Still, unframed.
Marlon Brando's Don Vito Corleone dances with his daughter Connie, played by Talia Shire, under the bunting at her wedding.
Shire is Francis Ford Coppola's sister, so this is a family occasion on both sides of the camera. Paramount first imagined a cheap modern-day gangster picture, and Coppola insisted on the period setting. Here is the Don at his happiest, in the last bright moment before the shooting starts.
