The Godfather / Der Pate (1972)

Lobby Card (9.5 X 12 Inches)
£115.00

Original Paramount Pictures German Lobby Card.

This card captures one of the most poignant scenes in the whole movie. A retired Don Vito Corleone is hanging out in his tomato garden with his young grandson, Anthony. He’s playfully teasing the boy, about to stick an orange rind in his mouth to make a funny "monster" face. It’s a peaceful, tender moment that makes what happens next so impactful, just moments later, the legendary Don suffers a fatal heart attack, dying simply as an old man playing in his garden.

Widely considered one of the greatest movies ever made, The Godfather (1972) completely changed how gangster films were made. It took us inside the mob to show the complex, deeply loyal family dynamics. It’s less about organized crime and more about the dark side of the American Dream.
