The Pink Panther (1963)
A fabulous original 1963 US Insert for Blake Edwards’ The Pink Panther, featuring David Niven, Peter Sellers, Robert Wagner, Capucine and Claudia Cardinale alongside the newly created animated Pink Panther. The wonderfully playful artwork and tagline, “You only live once… so see The Pink Panther twice!!”, perfectly capture the film’s stylish mix of comedy, romance and crime.
The film introduced Peter Sellers as the unforgettable Inspector Clouseau and also marked the first appearance of the animated Pink Panther, who went on to become a cultural icon in his own right. Henry Mancini’s famous theme became equally iconic, helping launch a hugely successful film and animation franchise. A superb original poster from the very beginning of the Pink Panther phenomenon.
