Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (1969) - FRAMED
Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid 1969 Original 20th Century Fox still #135-40
Paul Newman (Butch Cassidy) and Katharine Ross (Etta Place) in the film’s most tender and unforgettable moment, the romantic bicycle ride set to Burt Bacharach’s “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head.”
Publicity stills like this were distributed to cinemas and the press for promotional use at the film’s release. Surviving examples in this condition are increasingly scarce, especially of such an iconic scene.
Winning four Academy Awards, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid redefined the Western for a new generation, blending romance, humor, and anti-hero mythology. The bicycle sequence remains one of cinema’s most enduring images of 1960s Hollywood, showcasing Newman’s charm and Ross’s quiet radiance.
