Star Wars (1977)

No company existed that could build the effects George Lucas wanted, so he founded one. Industrial Light & Magic began in 1975 in a warehouse in Van Nuys, California, staffed by young model-makers and engineers who had to invent much of their own equipment. Star Wars won them an Academy Award, and ILM went on to shape the look of blockbuster cinema for decades.

This is the first printing of Tom Jung's Style A US One Sheet. Demand was such that four print runs were needed in 1977; all count as first release, but the first, with NSS reference 77/21-0, is the most collectable, the later runs being marked 77/21. Linen-backed.
