Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, The (Young Flesh Required) (1980)
Original Virgin Promotional Poster
Artwork by Jamie Reid
One of the most notorious music posters ever produced. Created by legendary Sex Pistols artist Jamie Reid to promote The Great Rock ’N’ Roll Swindle, this design appropriated the American Express logo and branding without permission. American Express swiftly threatened legal action, forcing Virgin Records to withdraw the poster and destroy the vast majority of undistributed copies.
As a result, surviving examples are exceptionally scarce, particularly in such excellent original condition. More than just a music poster, it is a genuine piece of punk history, embodying the anti-establishment attitude that defined the Sex Pistols and the British punk movement.
A rare, controversial and highly collectable Jamie Reid artwork from one of the most influential cultural revolutions of the 20th century.
