To visually translate the vibrant energy of a comic book panel to the screen, the 1966 production leaned heavily on extreme "Dutch angles", tilting the camera to physically skew the horizon line. This stylistic hallmark was deployed almost exclusively during scenes set in the villains' lairs, serving as a subliminal cue that Gotham's rogues operated in a crooked, distorted world entirely at odds with the morally upright Caped Crusader.
